VFD – Variable Frequency Drives – for energy efficiency so that fans aren’t constantly running at 100%
Variable frequency drives (VFD) help your building save money and increase efficiency by controlling the amount of frequency and voltage supplied to electric motors. Some applications do not need the electric motor to run at full speed. In cases such as these, a VFD can be used to decrease the frequency and voltage, to that which is needed to run the electric motor.
The use of VFDs improves energy costs and consumption as well as production. They can reduce energy consumption by up to 70% and also improve product quality, and increase levels of production.
